Nutrition for weight loss in San Jose is just plain confusing. Don’t you agree?

I mean, have you noticed how many diet fads and trends are currently circulating the market?  It seriously blows my mind.

And ask any person who is “ALL IN” with one of these ways of eating, and their philosophy behind eating that way is nothing short of dogmatic.

And I’m sorry, but that is NOT how nutrition should ever be.

Because there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to eating healthy.

Of course, common sense tells you broccoli is healthier than potato chips…that’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking specifically about the dogma of nutrition.

  • Keto is the ONLY way.
  • Intermittent fasting is THE way to lose fat.
  • Count macros or be overweight forever!

These are the kinds of philosophies that are circulating, so I wanted to acknowledge the ridiculousness of it all.

Am I bashing on all of these philosophies that support weight loss in San Jose or just fat loss in general? No, not at all.  All of them have Pros and Cons and can tie back to some piece of evidence (some highly researched, others not) on why you should or shouldn’t eat a particular way.

And that’s totally fine.  In fact, that’s great.

My issue is that they say that ALL people should eat “their way.”

And my issue with that is most of them are very, very, difficult to sustain.

And sustainability with nutrition is THE most important factor to maintaining a good physique, properly fueling your body, feeling good, and keeping a healthy weight and bodyfat for life.

So which philosophy above is “the best?”

Simple…..The one that you can do for life.

At the end of the day, if you can focus on eating lean proteins, some good fats, plenty of vegetables, and drink lots of water…and you don’t overdo it on portions (which are extremely important), you’re probably good.

Seriously…it can be that simple.

I know the amount of choice we have when it comes to food is overwhelming, so what’s MY best advice?

You guessed it…. Keep it simple. 🙂

Focus on what I shared above, and smile as your body starts to lose fat and you start to feel great. 🙂
