A new twist on peanut butter and apples. It’s got all the tastes and textures of the best stress-busting comfort foods, but it’s also healthy. You can come up with your own favorite variations.

With over 1,000 varieties of apples, you have choices. If you feel a headache creeping up you might want to go for a tart granny smith. Sweet tooth in overdrive grab yourself a naturally sweet fuji apple.

Where ever your cravings take you, an apple can be an easy and healthy option to curb your craving. On average a medium sized apple will be roughly 80 calories, so don’t be shy and grab that apple.

Peanut Butter & Apple Pizza Recipe

Try this recipe for a quick snack or get the family involved with an assembly line of fixings for your apple pizza.

Peanut Butter & Apple Pizza
Serving size: 1-2 rounds

  • 1 apple, sliced into ¼-inch rounds, seeds removed (for a total of 6 rounds)
  • 6 tbsp natural peanut butter(or nut-free alternative)
  • 3-6 tsp dark chocolate mini chips
  • 3-6 tsp chopped & salted roasted nuts(leave out for a nut-free alternative)
  • 1-2 tsp honey (optional)

Slice the apples crosswise to form the base of your “pizza.” You should have 6 rounds. Spread each round with 1 tbsp of peanut butter and sprinkle with 1 tsp each of mini chips and nuts, and an optional 1⁄2 tsp of honey for extra sweetness.
