Meet Alisa G., former Thrive in 35 participant and an energetic community member who the coaches says has made a complete 180 since she first arrived at Method3.

“Alisa has really been coming alive since I met her,” says Coach Yvonne, who teaches a few of our early morning Ignite classes. “She has been consistently attending my class and giving it her all. She’s excited to be there and doesn’t balk at anything. Whatever’s in the workout, it doesn’t matter how much of a challenge, she’s up for it! No excuses.”

Coach Kevin agrees. “She’s had incredible results and maintained them. And she inspired her husband to get in here and start taking better care of himself.”

Reasons for Enrolling In Thrive In 35

Before she came to Method3 Fitness, Alisa reveals, she struggled with poor eating habits. “I was an emotional eater, so rather than drinking water I’d eat or put a piece of candy in my mouth.” Her role as a mother and role model for children was what prompted Alisa to commit to the change. “I have two kids and I was trying to lose the baby weight. I wanted to be stronger and healthier for them.” Alisa was able to do that through her workouts and Thrive In 35.

Alisa’s Experience with Thrive In 35

Like many Partners, Alisa opted to take part in Thrive In 35 not once, but twice! And she achieved amazing results! “I lost 20lbs. It was a really amazing program.” In addition to learning what types of food to put in her body, Alisa also learned what times were ideal for her to eat with her busy lifestyle and what portions were right for her goals. Keeping a journal that she could show the coaches during each weekly weigh-in also helped keep her accountable.

The absolute best part, according to Alisa: “I can still eat fat.”

She laughs as she tells me this, but says that a big part of making the program doable for her was

  1. Being able to enjoy real food and
  2. Having a toolbox recipes that both she and her family still enjoy.

Add the group fitness classes and the overall positive vibe she felt from the coaches and the community, and Alisa seems to be….well… thriving!

“I don’t enjoy eating like I used to eat, I don’t feel good when I don’t eat well, and I watch how much I eat.” #Winning ????????????

Next Steps for Alisa

Although she has already accomplished the goals she set out to achieve when she started at Method3 Fitness, Alisa is looking forward to the next level of success. “I hope to continue to grow and grow stronger.” She has recently signed up to run a 5k with her daughter. This is the reason she’s chosen to up the intensity of workouts by attending more ignite classes. “I feel like I’m getting stronger. I work full time and I have two kids, so I have limited time, but the gym has been helping. After class, I feel stronger, like I can tackle anything.”

We couldn’t be more proud of Alisa for all that she has achieved with her weight loss and the strength she has gained through her workouts. We’re looking forward to her continued progress and success as she moves forward with her training.
