- Go to the gym at least 2 times a week. Build a habit of showing up to the gym on your days of choice, regardless of how much time or how much energy you have. It’s the consistency that ultimately determines whether or not you succeed in weight loss and/or strength gain.
- Reduce sitting and increase daily movement. Research shows that while structured daily workouts are an important part of getting healthy and fit, those who work out once a day, but sit the rest of the day (at work or at home) are often less fit than those who complete multiple bouts of activity. This can be as simple as going for a short walk after lunch, taking frequent breaks during your workday, or standing to stretch and move after a zoom meeting.
- Make healthy food choices. Your eating habits can weigh heavily on your results. It’s important to learn what types of foods are conducive to your fitness goals and add more of them to your diet.
