You know that old saying, “Go hard or go home”? Well…if you’ve been going hard for a while, it might actually be time to go home! For a little foam rolling, some mobility work, or just an actual rest day. Here’s something to keep in mind: Everything has its season, and your body isn’t a machine. Even when you’re doing everything “right,” your body naturally cycles through phases like: Most of us only celebrate the obvious progress… fat loss, muscle gain, PRs, etc…. And we often misinterpret the slower periods as failure. Those slower phases are vital. If you're hitting a plateau or feeling like your progress has stalled, it's likely because: NONE of that is backsliding, and ALL of it is part of the process. In fact, plateaus can help your body find a new “setpoint,” which is basically a new center of balance. So, what should you do in a slower season? Ask yourself: What's the minimum I need to do this week to stay in the game? And when your next growth phase kicks in, you’ll actually have something left in the tank. Progress isn’t linear. But consistency through all of your seasons? That’s what builds results that last! Committed to Your Success, Method3 Fitness is conveniently located in San Jose.
