You’ve probably heard that sugar is bad for you. The truth is that sugar serves a purpose for your body, which means you can enjoy it in small amounts. However, in excess (and believe us, it’s VERY easy to have too much), sugar can have detrimental effects, on your health, your mood, and your body composition.

According to the American Heart Association, we should only be eating 6 to 9 teaspoons of sugar per day. Most Americans are averaging between 17 and 22 (without knowing it)!
